assertions

1. I think Assertions are available either in testing or junit framework.To use Assertions you need to import org.testng.assert package

2. Assertions are used to validate value of some variable with expected value,

There are something called soft assertions exist. It was asked in an Apple interview, I could not answer at that time. Below is what it means soft assertion.
